Office of Dispute Resolution Parenting Act Biennial Reports – 2018 Reporting Year

Biennial reports for Parenting Act Mediators will be accepted on the ODR’s Parenting Act Mediator Portal beginning October 1st, 2018 through January 31st, 2019.In order to be reapproved as a Parenting Act Mediator the following criteria must be met:

  • Submission of biennial renewal form
  • Mediation of at least two parenting plan cases in the past two years
  • Eight CME hours: two DIPA/child abuse/unresolved parental conflict hours, one hour of ethics, and 5 general parenting mediation hours
  • A mandatory IPS webinar, described below, will count toward the ethics requirement

Continuing Mediation Education (CME) hours can be submitted at any time on the Office of Dispute Resolution’s (ODR) Parenting Act Mediator Portal.CME hours for this biennial period must be completed by December 31, 2018.A total of eight Continuing Mediation Education (CME) hours are required with two hours in the area of domestic intimate partner abuse (DIPA), child abuse or unresolved parental conflict and at least one hour in the area of ethics.A mandatory CME consisting of a 60-90 minute webinar on Individual Private Sessions (IPS) will be released this fall.
