Attorney for Appellee:  Nathan A. Liss (Attorney General’s Office)

Criminal Action:  Possession of a firearm by a prohibited person; Possession of a controlled substance

The trial court sentenced appellant to 6 to 8 years’ imprisonment for the offense of possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, and 1 to 2 years’ imprisonment for the offense of possession of a controlled substance. The sentences were to run concurrently.

Assignments of Error on Appeal:  Did the trial court err in overruling appellant’s motion to suppress? Did the trial court err in admitting 404 evidence under the “inextricably intertwined” exception? Did the trial court err in failing to give appellant’s proposed jury instructions?
