Criminal: Abuse of a Vulnerable Adult (4 counts); Attempted Abuse of a Vulnerable Adult (1 count); Strangulation (3 counts); Attempted Strangulation (one count).

Proceedings below: Appellant was found guilty of all the crimes alleged. He was sentenced to a total of 15 to 23 years in prison.

Issues: (1) The district court abused its discretion in allowing Exhibit 36 to go into the jury room during deliberations. (2) There was insufficient evidence to support a conviction. (3) The district court erred in admitting Exhibits 37 and 38. (4) The sentences were excessive.
