Do I need to take a training offered in the state?
“I am interested in mediating in Nebraska but received training in another state; do I need to take a training offered in the state that is approved by the Office of Dispute Resolution?”
Answer: The Office of Dispute Resolution handles many requests to determine if a basic or family mediation training meets the standards found in the Dispute Resolution Act and Nebraska Parenting Act.
If you have questions regarding the equivalency of a basic or family mediation training that you have completed outside of the state, please contact the Parenting Act Administrative Assistant at 402/471.2911 or by email.
