Nebraska Chief Justice Named President of Conference of Chief Justices and Chair of National Court Organization

Nebraska Chief Justice Michael Heavican has been named president of the Conference of Chief Justices and chair of the Board of Directors of the National Center for State Courts.  Both positions are one-year terms and are effective immediately.  “Chief Justice Heavican is a remarkable leader, both in his state and on the national level. His long-standing commitment to improving and preserving the justice system will help guide the work of NCSC and CCJ, the country’s leading court organizations,” NCSC President Mary C. McQueen said.
