This professional position is under the general supervision of a deputy administrator and conducts financial reviews of services, makes adjustments as needed and recommends confirmation for payment under predetermined specifications. The work will involve performing on-site reviews of Fee for Service Voucher system, grants and other designated services, to verify and document all elements affecting eligibility and payment, liability, or insurance amounts in compliance with applicable state and federal regulations; interviewing providers and contact collateral sources in order to collect evidence substantiating eligibility as a registered provider; maintaining detailed records and evaluating information collected; assisting in developing and implementing system quality control reviews; assisting in conducting audits of registered providers. This position requires initiative, a commitment to excellence, strong analytical and problem solving capabilities; an ability to think conceptually as well as creatively; capacity to communicate effectively with stakeholders; a knowledge of the behavior health systems; leadership in data gathering and data analysis for conducting quality control reviews; conducting on-site interviews with applicants/recipients and public/private sources to obtain information; apply rules and regulations to the verification, determination, and documentation; learn organizational structure, mission, vision and activities of the employing organization; general knowledge of accounting procedures.
A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in one of the following areas of study: social work, business or public administration, behavioral sciences or a closely related field and/or two years’ experience as a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Addiction Counselor (LADAC), Licensed Mental Health Practitioner (LMHP) or licensure of a similar nature preferred. Experience working with providers of behavioral health services through work in a criminal justice setting is preferred. Work experience sufficient to enable the individual to perform the duties and meet the knowledge of skills and abilities required.
The ability to speak Spanish is desired but not required. The salary range is $2993.19 - $3,557.96 per month.
