A-12-1012, State v.  Lantz (Appellant)

Jefferson County, District Court Judge Paul W. Korslund

Attorney for Appellant:  James R. Mowbray & Kelly S. Breen (Nebraska Commission on Public Advocacy)

Attorney for Appellee:  Jon Bruning & Stacy M. Foust (Attorney General’s Office)

Criminal Action:  First Degree Sexual Assault of A Child

Action Taken by Trial Court: The district court denied appellant’s motion to suppress and, following a jury trial, appellant was convicted of three counts of first degree sexual assault of a child.

Assignments of Error on Appeal:  On appeal, the appellant contends that the district court erred in denying his motion to suppress, in admitting evidence of prior sexual assaults at his jury trial, and in failing to remove a juror who overtly demonstrated sympathy and bias.
