Five Submit their Names for District Judge in the Ninth Judicial District

LINCOLN – Andrew C. Butler, Hastings; Ryan C. Carson, Gibbon; Aaron M. Bishop, David B. Brinegar, and Jeffrey P. Ensz, all of Kearney, have submitted applications for appointment as District Judge in the 9th Judicial District consisting of Buffalo and Hall counties. The primary office location of this vacancy will be Kearney, Buffalo County, Nebraska, but in order to provide maximum service to all areas of the judicial district, the judge who fills the declared vacancy will be required to sit in both Buffalo and Hall Counties. The vacancy is due to the retirement of Judge William T. Wright.

The public hearing of the Judicial Nominating Commission has been rescheduled and will be held in courtroom 3, at the Buffalo County Courthouse (1512 Central Avenue) in Kearney, Nebraska, beginning at 1:30 p.m., on December 11, 2018.  The Commission will review all applicants for the office at that time.  The public is welcome to attend the hearing and present information concerning candidates for the judicial opening.
