Nebraska Supreme Court to Hold Court Session at Sidney High School

As an ongoing initiative for outreach and education, the Nebraska Supreme Court Justices will hold court in the Sidney High School auditorium on the morning of May 3, 2024. This visit is part of the Nebraska Supreme Court's and the legal community's sustained efforts to enhance understanding of court processes and underscore the significance of civics education in American society.

Principal Ryan Plummer along with District Court Judge Derek Weimer and County Court Judge Randin Roland will speak to students about the celebration of Law Day and provide background information on how cases move through the trial court to the Supreme Court.

Following the presentation, the auditorium will be transformed into a Supreme Court courtroom for the remainder of the day.
