Tara Sprigler-Price was appointed Chief Probation Officer in November, 2008 of the newly-created Probation District 8 that came into existence July 1, 2009. She began her Probation career as a probation officer in O’Neill in July, 1987.
Sprigler-Price has an associate degree in criminal justice from Northeast Community College in Norfolk and a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice with emphasis in law enforcement and corrections from Chadron State College. She has also completed the U.S. Department of Justice National Institute of Corrections Executive Orientation Program at Sam Houston University.
She was the recipient of Probation’s 2000 LaDonna Snell Award. In 1994, she received the Valley Hope Association‘s Golden Heart Award.
She is currently a member of Probation’s Training Committee and on the Executive Board of Heartland Counseling Services in O’Neill.
