Participants will understand the history and implications of the Family First Prevention Services Act (FFPSA), enacted into law February 8, 2018. FFPSA is designed to decrease out of home placement and increase the evidence based service array available to at-risk children, youth, and families. Nebraska is one of a handful of states to adopt the provisions of FFPSA, starting October 2019.
