It’s tax season! The IRS has urged taxpayers to get ready for the upcoming tax filing season. Income tax preparations may look a little different for 2021 due to two rounds of Economic Impact Payments and various other changes. Guardians and conservators with fiduciary responsibility over their wards must determine whether their wards need to file for 2020. The IRS deadline for filing individual tax returns for 2020 is April 15, 2021. People who are eligible for, but did not receive, Economic Impact Payments in 2020 may qualify for the Recovery Rebate Credit when they file their 2020 taxes in 2021.

There are a number of resources available to assist with tax return preparations.
