Tara Gardner

I am a Nebraska native, and graduated from the University Of Nebraska in 2003 with honors and a dual degree in Sociology and Psychology. I then received my Juris Doctorate from the University of Nebraska College Of Law in 2007, where my studies centered on family law. I was admitted to the Nebraska Bar Association, and have been a licensed attorney in good standing since 2007.

I am currently employed at a mid-size law firm, Keating O’Gara Nedved & Peter, PC LLO, as an associate attorney specializing in family law. Before coming to Keating O’Gara in 2014, I had my own family law practice, Gardner Law Office, PC LLO, for 7 years. Throughout my entire career, my practice has focused on family law, including areas such as dissolution of marriage, legal separation, paternity and child custody, child support, child custody and child support modification, guardianships, adoptions and Juvenile Court. I served as a Guardian ad Litem for children in Juvenile Court for 8 years.

Client counseling and mediation services are necessary in all aspects of my practice, and I have utilized mediation in my cases since the adoption of the Parenting Act in 2008. Through my practice, I have participated in many mediations in the role of advocate for my client.  In 2018, I completed training and was certificated by the Nebraska Office of Dispute Resolution as an approved Parenting Act Mediator.
