Attorney Services Division Hosts CLE for Attorneys Throughout the State

Nebraska’s Attorney Services Division hosted a continuing legal education session June 5, 2019, for 150 lawyers in Lincoln. A panel of judges, including Justice Stephanie Stacy, Judge Riko Bishop, Judge Jodi Nelson, retired Judge Mary Gilbride and retired Judge Paul Korslund, discussed professionalism in the Courtroom during the first half of the Lincoln program.  After that segment, representatives from Nebraska Lawyers Assistance Program (NLAP) and Counsel for Discipline presented on issues for lawyers to consider when preparing to close a practice.  The 4-hour educational session will also be offered in Kearney, North Platte, and Scottsbluff during the week of June 10 and additional communities in August as part of Chief Justice Michael Heavican’s summer tour. 

The schedule for future sessions includes:

  • Hastings on Monday, August 12 - C3 Hotels beginning at 12:30 pm
  • O’Neill on Tuesday, August 13 – O’Neill Community Center at 1 pm (time is subject to change)
  • Valentine on Wednesday, August 14 – Niobrara Lodge at 1 pm (time is subject to change)
