Online Guardian/Conservator Education Course is Now Available

The Nebraska Office of Public Guardian is announcing the launch of a new ONLINE Guardian/Conservator Education course. This course is designed to help people navigate the process of  guardianship and conservatorship in the courts and at home. Participants learn how to fill out court forms, promote the dignity and autonomy of a ward or protected person, and implement least-restrictive alternatives. The course costs $20 per person.

After receiving login credentials, the online course can be completed and revisited at the user’s preferred pace using any computer with an internet connection (Mozilla Firefox should be used for optimal performance of the course). Login credentials for the class will be sent within 7 business days of completing the registration and submitting payment. Upon completion, participants will receive a certificate of completion, which will then need to be filed with the county court where the guardianship or conservatorship exists.

Click here to register. *As of now, online courses are provided in English only, the first set of login will be emailed to participants October 1, 2019.
