Application for Admission by Examination
Notice - Effective August 19th New Attorney Services Website
The Supreme Court's Attorney Services Division new admissions site is now LIVE!
The Nebraska Supreme Court (Court) exercises jurisdiction over admission to the practice of law in the State of Nebraska. The Court established the Nebraska State Bar Commission (Commission) to review all applicants and make recommendations to the Court for admission. The Commission oversees the administration of the Uniform Bar Exam (“UBE”) in Nebraska twice yearly for admission by examination. Applicants may apply for admission on motion if already licensed in another state or by UBE score transfer. The motion application process may take up to 120 days.
*All applicants must apply using the Nebraska admissions application located here: https://attorneys.nejudicial.gov
*Please note that if you are filing an application for the July exam at the end of February or through March, there will likely be a delay in you receiving a notification of processing your application due to an influx of applications received and simultaneously administering the February bar exam. If you receive a payment receipt via email, your application has been received by our office.
Please read the ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR THE PRACTICE OF LAW before completing and submitting an application.
