Conroy Sworn-in as Certified Court Interpreter
LINCOLN – Marsha Conroy of Omaha, Nebraska, is Nebraska’s second French interpreter to have successfully completed requirements to become a Certified Court Interpreter. She joins a small but growing group of certified court interpreters for languages which include Spanish, Russian, American-Sign, Mandarin-Chinese, and Somali. Individuals from French speaking countries like Liberia, Algeria, and Haiti have utilized French Court Interpreters in Nebraska. Conroy was sworn-in by Supreme Court Justice William B. Cassel during an afternoon ceremony on February 10, 2016, in the Supreme Court at the State Capitol. She was joined by family, interpreter colleagues, and Nebraska Court Administrative staff. Conroy is the President of the Nebraska Association of Translators and Interpreters (NATI) and is Owner of MarCon Translation Services LLC.
