Judicial Resources Commission to Hold April 3 Public Hearing
The Judicial Resources Commission will hold a public hearing via video conference to determine whether the judicial district boundaries should be changed for the district and county courts by moving Otoe County from the 2nd Judicial District to the 1st Judicial District to better balance existing judicial resources.
The hearing is scheduled for Monday, April 3, 2017 at 1 p.m., central time. The hearing will be held via video conferencing from the State Capitol Building, Room 1510, Lincoln, Nebraska, and will include participation from the following sites: (1) Omaha Downtown Vocational Rehabilitation Office, 1313 Farnam Street, 3rd Floor, Omaha, Nebraska; (2) North Platte Vocational Rehabilitation Office, 200 S. Silber, Building 2, North Platte, Nebraska; and (3) Grand Island Vocational Rehabilitation Office, 203 E. Stolley Park Road, Suite B, Grand Island, Nebraska.
Following the hearing, the Commission will make a recommendation to the Legislature of its determination.

Any member of the public is entitled to attend the Nebraska Judicial Resources Commission hearing in Room 1510 of the State Capitol, Lincoln, Nebraska, and present, either orally or in writing, any pertinent information concerning whether the judicial district boundaries should be changed for the district and county courts by moving Otoe County from the 2nd Judicial District to the 1st Judicial District to better balance existing judicial resources. Anyone who wishes to present written material at the hearing should furnish a copy of such material to the Chairperson at least one week prior to the hearing.
