Judicial Resources Commission to Hold September 13 Public Hearing

PUBLIC HEARING:  The Judicial Resources Commission will hold a public hearing on Friday, September 13, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. CDT, in the Supreme Court Courtroom, State Capitol Building in Lincoln, Nebraska, to consider:

1. Whether a judicial vacancy exists in the office of the County Court, 10th Judicial District, due to the recent appointment of Judge Timothy Hoeft to the District Court.

ATTENDANCE OPTIONSMembers of the Commission have the option of participating in the proceedings either in-person at the State Capitol, or via Zoom. Members of the public have the option of attending the proceedings either in-person at the State Capitol, or via Zoom using this public link.   

PUBLIC TESTIMONY OPTIONS: Those wishing to present testimony during the public hearing may either (1) appear in person at the Supreme Court Courtroom and sign in as a witness, or (2) submit written testimony in advance of the hearing by emailing it to: kara.nielsen@nejudicial.gov or by mailing it postage pre-paid to: Judicial Resources Commission, State Capitol Building, Rm. 2222, P.O. Box 98910, Lincoln, NE 68509. To be considered by the Commission, any written testimony must be received no later than September 11, 2024. All written testimony submitted by the deadline will be marked as an exhibit, received at the hearing, and made available to the public.
