LaRita Weber, Clerk Magistrate Johnson and Pawnee Counties to Retire July 5, 2024

Johnson and Pawnee County Clerk Magistrate LaRita Weber recently submitted her notice of retirement effective July 5, 2024, after nearly 24 years of service to the Judicial Branch.

“During her over 20 years as Clerk Magistrate, LaRita Weber has dedicated her time to assisting members of the public to navigate the legal system. She is one of a few Clerk Magistrates in Nebraska who manages two County Court offices, working in both Johnson and Pawnee Counties. I wish her the best in her retirement. She has earned it,” commented County Court Judge Richard Smith.

“As Clerk Magistrate these past many years, Ms. Weber has served the citizens of Johnson County and Pawnee County exceptionally well and has went above and beyond the call of duty. Ms. Weber is a consummate professional and has been a valuable asset to the counties that she has served with distinction and to the State of Nebraska and our judicial system as well. I greatly appreciate Ms. Weber’s dedication as Clerk Magistrate and thank her on both a professional and personal level. LaRita has been a great friend to the Court, and I am blessed to call her my friend as well. I wish LaRita nothing but the best in her well-earned and deserved retirement. Take care and best wishes LaRita,” commented County Court Judge Jeffrey Gaertig.

Immediately prior to the retirement of Weber an Interim Clerk Magistrate will be designated for the courts.
