Mandy Klipp of Tobias, Nebraska, has been selected to serve as Clerk Magistrate in Jefferson County. She begins her duties on December 13, 2021, replacing retiring Clerk Magistrate Tammie Duensing.  She has been the Assistant Clerk in Jefferson County Court since July 2020.  

“Mandy has worked with and been trained by outgoing clerk magistrate Tammie Duensing, and that knowledge and experience will serve her well as County Court Clerk Magistrate,” said Trial Court Services Director Sheryl Connolly. “In addition, Mandy is known for her patience and her heart for customer service.  We look forward to working with her in her new role."

County Court Clerk Magistrates work under the general direction of the presiding county court judge. The position carries a high level of responsibility for the people, paperwork, and records of the court. Klipp will be responsible for ensuring the efficiency of the court’s administrative functions and for investigating and evaluating procedural changes within the court. The clerk magistrate will also serve as the county court Media Coordinator in Fairbury. As Media Coordinator, she will work with judges and news reporters to coordinate logistics for news coverage and news cameras inside the courtroom.

Klipp will work in the 1st Judicial District with fellow Clerk Magistrates Sherri Ullman, Beatrice; Cassondra Buethe, Falls City; LaRita Weber, Tecumseh and Pawnee City; Nancy Hall, Auburn; Angela Holtmeier, Hebron; and Joshua McDougall, Wilber. Clerk Magistrates work under the direction of the 1st Judicial District county court judges Linda Bauer, Fairbury; Jeff Gaertig, Beatrice; and Curt Maschman, Falls City.
