The Douglas County District Court has announced the establishment of the first Veterans Treatment Court in the State of Nebraska. A formal ceremony will take place on Friday, November 4, 2016, at 10:30 a.m. in the Legislative Chamber of the Omaha/Douglas Civic Center, 1819 Farnam Street, Omaha, Nebraska. Then Honorable W. Mark Ashford will preside. The Veterans Treatment Court is a judicially supervised court designed to hold responsible and address the unique needs of military veterans who have been charged with various felony crimes in Douglas County, Nebraska.
