Nebraska Court Improvement Project host multi-city Project Embrace seminars
The Nebraska Court Improvement Project will be hosting a lecture series in North Platte, August 1, 2023, Hastings, August 2, 2023, South Sioux City, August 8, 2023, and Lincoln, August 9, 2023.
The Project Embrace lecture series facilitated by the Court Improvement Project aims to provide education to a variety of stakeholders in the child welfare system, including but not limited to judges, case workers, service providers, attorneys, CASA volunteers, and foster parents. This education will be focused on issues concerning babies and toddlers in the system, as well as support and resources for families. Participants will walk away from the one-day conference with increased knowledge in the area of early childhood education and additional strategies for navigating situations that arise due to court proceedings.
Topics included are: Understanding Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health and the Impact of Trauma, Early Intervention for Infants and Toddlers with Disabilities and their Families, The Comprehensive Addiction and Recovery Act (CARA), Juvenile Court and Early Intervention, Preserving Families: Engagement in Community Resources, and a Lived Experience Presentation.
