Nebraska Judicial Branch Launches Facebook Page and Twitter Account

Nebraska Judicial Branch Launches Facebook Page and Twitter Account

The Nebraska Judicial Branch joins the ranks of governmental institutions and legal associations communicating through social media.

According to State Court Administrator Corey Steel, “It is important during these times of expanded communication options that our administrative offices are able to communicate directly with the public.”

The core of the Court’s information will reside on the official website of the Nebraska Judicial Branch (https://supremecourt.nebraska.gov). Social media tools will be used to publish content across multiple social media platforms so that Nebraska courts can better communicate with members of the public served by the court system including, individuals who represent themselves in court, attorneys, mediators, and governmental officials. With greater outreach, the Judicial Branch endeavors to enhance confidence in the judicial system, promote Judicial Branch initiatives, and direct court users to the Court’s official website.

“Social media is now one of the most powerful and cost-effective tools for sharing the Court’s message,” added Steel. “We are ready to join the fold.”
