New Leadership Chosen for Courts in Oshkosh and Chappell
Judges in Nebraska’s 12th Judicial District have chosen new clerk magistrates for Garden County and Deuel County. Each will serve the county court as clerk magistrate and as the ex officio clerk of the district court.
In celebration of the hiring, Corey Steel remarked, “I am excited to continue the expansion of the blending of court clerks’ offices in locations where the county is agreeable. This type of state-county collaboration is a prime example of state and local government coming together to provide efficiencies in court operations.” He continued, “The Administrative Office of the Courts and Probation will strive to continue providing excellent court services to the community but from our new centralized clerk’s office.”
Jonna Jasnoch will serve as clerk magistrate of Garden County Court in Oshkosh. Jasnoch is currently a records clerk in the Garden County Court.
Joan Hansen will serve in Chappell as clerk magistrate of Deuel County Court. Hansen currently works as office manager for the Deuel County Attorney.
Both clerk magistrates will begin their new positions on April 1, 2019.
Jasnoch and Hansen will be the first magistrates responsible for both the county and district courts in the 12th Judicial District. They will work under the general direction of County Court Judge Randin Roland and will provide support to District Court Judge Derek Weimer. The magistrates will be responsible for providing public service and managing the records, finances, and general operation of the courts. They will work with the administrative office of the courts to identify and implement improved efficiencies in the combined county and district court offices.
Jasnoch and Hansen will work with fellow clerk magistrates Catherine Allen, Lori Bartling, Linda Hayden, Dianne Lana, Lori Miskimins, Joni Roberts, and Michele Woods.
