North Platte Clerk Magistrate Melissa Ireland to be Sworn In by Chief Justice July 18, 2016
Ms. Melissa Ireland will be sworn in as Lincoln County Clerk Magistrate by Chief Justice Mike Heavican on Monday, July 18, 2016, at 4:00 p.m. (CST) in the county courtroom of the Lincoln County Courthouse, North Platte, Nebraska. Most recently an Assistant Clerk for the Lancaster County Court, Ireland will serve the county court under the direction of Judge Michael Piccolo and Judge Kent Turnbull. She will provide administrative support to the county court judges as well as organize, oversee, and supervise the activities of the Lincoln County Court. Ireland is currently completing her Masters of Forensic Science - Investigative Track at Nebraska Wesleyan University in Lincoln. Her undergraduate degree is from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside, Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice. The swearing-in ceremony will be followed by a small reception for courthouse officials and members of the local bar.
