Probation’s AmeriCorps Member awarded the “Innovative Approach to Direct Service Award” for her service with the Rural Improvement for Schooling and Employment (RISE) Program
Mandi Byrd, AmeriCorps member was presented with the “Innovative Approach to Direct Service Award” by ServeNebraska during their most recent AmeriCorps Symposium in Hastings. The Symposium is an annual event where all AmeriCorps members, regardless of program affiliation, come together to do service projects, share experiences, and partake in the Member Service Awards ceremony to recognize outstanding members. Byrd is one of Nebraska Probation Administration’s 12 RISE Specialists and serves the sixth Judicial District (Burt, Cedar, Dakota, Dixon, Dodge, Thurston, & Washington counties). She was one of six AmeriCorps members awarded for their service out of the hundreds of AmeriCorps members across the state. For more photos, click here.
