WHY:            
The Safe and Healthy Families Initiative is recognizing the accomplishments of a member of the Lancaster County community who has shown excellence in the informed practice of domestic violence. This event is also to celebrate 2 years of the Lancaster County Safe and Healthy Families Court becoming an approved problem-solving court.

The Safe and Healthy Families Court is an alternate route through the juvenile court system for families experiencing domestic violence. The court utilizes a specialized team process that functions within the existing court structure.
