"As many have noted, Brad was a problem-solver, determined to do what was right for his city, his state, and his country.

There was no cause he was more dedicated to, or problem he wished to solve more, than those in the juvenile justice system. Until his dying day, Brad was trying to find ways to make our juvenile justice system better.

On behalf of Nebraska’s court system, I thank Brad for his tireless work for young Nebraskans needing help. His work and his ideas were transformative to our juvenile courts.

On a personal note, Brad was a great friend. Brad and his wife, Ann, were frequent travel companions, dinner partners, and entertaining guests. He will be missed by me and many others.
