Wendy Wussow to Serve as Nebraska’s Appellate Level Clerk of Court
The Nebraska Supreme Court announces the appointment of Wendy A. Wussow of Lincoln, Nebraska, as Clerk of the Nebraska Supreme Court and Court of Appeals, beginning April 2, 2018.
Wussow is currently serving as Agency Legal Counsel with the Nebraska State Patrol. She started her career as a private practice attorney in Kansas where she also served as a part-time municipal judge and later as assistant county attorney. Previously, she worked as a full-time prosecutor in both Kearney, Nebraska and in Mason City, Iowa.
As Clerk of the Court, Wussow will direct the operations of the office which serves both the Supreme Court and the Court of Appeals by providing timely docketing of cases, assignment of motions, and processing of other filings for Nebraska’s appellate courts. Clerk staff works to convey the rulings of each court while maintaining court calendars and producing the listings of upcoming cases. All efforts combine to assist the appellate courts in the processing of appeals in the most expeditious manner possible.
