Bendixen Hired as Nebraska’s Director of District Court Trial Court Services
Valorie Bendixen has joined the Administrative Office of the Courts and Probation (AOCP) as the new Director of District Court Trial Court Services. The position is newly created within the Court Services Division, where Sheryl Connolly continues her work as Trial Court Services Director for County Courts. Bendixen’s primary role will be to support the district courts and Clerks of the District Court. Both work under the direction of the Deputy Administrator for Court Services, Amy Prenda.
Bendixen holds a B.A. in Psychology from UNL. She worked for the Nebraska Department of Corrections at Hastings Correctional Center as a Unit Supervisor, followed by 12 years as a Probation Officer. In 2003, she was elected the Hall County Clerk of the District Court, where she has served for the past 18 years. She has an exceptional understanding of Court practices and appreciates the importance of maintaining relationships with all the justice stakeholders that support and assist the Nebraska Judicial Branch.
As a Clerk of the District Court, she was active in the Nebraska Clerks of the District Court Association, where she served as President and on the association’s Education Committee. Bendixen was also instrumental in assisting the AOCP with piloting projects in Hall County for statewide implementation.
