Pam Cardenas, new Douglas County Judicial Administrator, will be sworn-in during a formal ceremony on January 4, 2023, at 3:00 p.m. in the Legislative Chambers at 1819 Farnam Street.

Cardenas’ office provides support for Nebraska’s largest county court and the 12 County Court judges located in Omaha.

“Ms. Cardenas brings with her a wealth of court knowledge and experience to the Douglas County Court.  Her leadership and dedication to Douglas County will be an excellent addition to the Judicial Branch,” noted Corey Steel, Nebraska State Court Administrator.

Her appointment was effective October 2, 2023. Cardenas also served as Acting Judicial Administrator since late June 2023.  Cardenas comes to the position with extensive leadership experience within the courts.  She has over 20 years of work relating to the court system, most recently serving as Deputy Clerk of the Douglas County District Court.
