Celebrating Older Americans with the Office of Public Guardian
In celebration of Older Americans Month in May, Nebraska’s Office of Public Guardian (OPG) shared a compilation of real-life stories with the Nebraska Legislature. Each week state senators were presented with a new story of an individual served by the office. The OPG provides guardianship for adults when no one else is willing or able to step into the role. Associate public guardians strive to meet the needs of their wards and ensure that their resources are handled responsibly. Please take a moment to read about the lives of some of the people the OPG has been honored to serve in the Nebraska OPG Celebration of Older Americans Month.
