A swearing-in ceremony for Marc Kohmetscher as Chief Probation Officer of District 9 (Buffalo and Hall Counties) was held on January 16, 2024, at the Hall County Courthouse in Grand Island Nebraska. Probation Administrator Deb Minardi presided over the ceremony and Judge Andrew Butler gave the oath of office. The ceremony was attended by Judge Alfred Corey and Chief Probation Officers from around the state.

Kohmetscher began his duties as Chief Probation Officer on October 16, 2023, replacing former Chief Probation Officer Connie Hultine.
