A swearing-in ceremony for Debra Hand as Clerk Magistrate of Cherry County Court was held April 26, 2022, in the Cherry County Courthouse in Valentine, Nebraska. Judge James Orr opened and hosted the ceremony. 

Hand began her duties as Clerk Magistrate on January 3, 2022, replacing former Clerk Magistrate Kay Morrison.
