Colfax County Courthouse Filled With Rainbows of Hope and Encouragement
Making a conscious decision to choose hope over fear and to boost morale within the courthouse, Clerk Magistrate Ellen Faltys promoted the installation of rainbows throughout the building in Schuyler, NE. Faltys pitched the idea to staff members Julie Bideaux and Zaira Lopez, and it quickly had the desired effect. When courthouse employees, attorneys, law enforcement, and the public approach the courthouse -- from the first floor to the fourth floor, they are greeted with the symbol of hope and encouragement.
In an interview with the Schuyler Sun, Faltys is quoted as saying, “I just think the office environment has a big influence on your emotions. With my staff, who are amazing, we decided to do something positive and to get the other offices to participate.”
Whether you view the rainbow as something to wish on or you would just like to get Over the Rainbow” you will find rainbows a plenty at the Colfax County Courthouse thanks to the innovative team in county court.
