Court-Connected Restorative Child Welfare and Juvenile Justice Services

Court-Connected Restorative Child Welfare and Juvenile Justice Services

The Office of Dispute Resolution (ODR) has developed an outline of Restorative Child Welfare and Juvenile Justice Services, which are available to the Courts. The easy-to-read handout includes a visual timeline of when each service is appropriate. ODR-approved centers provide these services as court-connected providers. When court-ordered, these restorative services are paid for by the Office of Dispute Resolution.

As court-connected providers, each ODR-approved center has a designated service area and provides services to every county within their respective region. In order for the centers to remain an ODR-approved center, every year the Dispute Resolution Advisory Council extensively reviews each center’s operations and budget. The council then makes a recommendation to Corey Steel, State Court Administrator, as to each center’s status.
