Court Hosts Q&A with Law Students Following Online Arguments
In a new twist on an old program, justices of the Nebraska Supreme Court will host virtual arguments dedicated to each of Nebraska’s law schools this spring along with virtual question and answer sessions with law students. Student sessions are scheduled immediately following arguments at UNL on March 4, 2021, and over the noon hour on April 1, 2021, at Creighton.
Since 1980, the Supreme Court has traveled to the University of Nebraska College of Law and Creighton School of Law to demonstrate the delivery of oral arguments on each campus. One of the highlights of each visit is the question and answer session following arguments. Visiting oral argument sessions are an annual event for the Supreme Court and will not be deterred by the Pandemic. Justices agree that watching the law in action and speaking with judges about the legal system and careers adds an important dimension to the law school curriculum.
