COVID Jury Selection Move Reveals History Lesson
Matt Fischer, Knox County District Court Clerk, worked with Niobrara school officials to convene jury selection at the school rather than in the courtroom at Center, Nebraska. The irony of the move was not lost on the community: The original courthouse was established in Niobrara and moved to the town of Center in 1901. Now, due to COVID, the court made a temporary move back to its origins in Niobrara.
