Drug Court Graduation in Dodge County
At the Dodge County Courthouse, the Dodge County Adult Drug Court celebrated graduation in Fremont on December 7, 2021. The ceremony for the graduate, Kasaira Consbruck, marks her persistent three-year path with intensive, comprehensive mental health treatment, community supervision, and full accountability. Judge Geoffrey C. Hall presided at the Adult Drug Court hearing.
Consbruck stated that she was not happy when she entered Adult Drug Court, but she slowly progressed. "I started to feel happy again, and I started to actually smile and laugh again. It gets better, and I just think everyone should hold onto that."

Adult Drug Courts are an alternate route through the criminal justice system for nonviolent drug-related offenders, utilizing a specialized team process that functions within the existing court structure. The courts are designed to reduce recidivism and substance use among individuals with substance use disorders. The court's goal is to protect public safety and increase the participant's likelihood of successful rehabilitation by utilizing validated risk and need assessments, early and individualized behavioral health treatment, frequent and random chemical testing, incentives, sanctions, and other rehabilitative and ancillary services.
