Everyday Heroes: Allyson Stewart Honored
Bailiff of the Supreme Court and Court of Appeals, Ally Stewart, goes above and beyond during each High School Traveling Argument, transforming high school stages into courtrooms, setting up the Court's recording equipment, and organizing supplies. Amidst the complicated setup, her greatest achievement is her role as mentor to student bailiffs and her engagement with student ambassadors. She patiently guides students in the Court's practices while teaching the ins and outs of the recording equipment. Stewart regularly travels with each appellate court for oral arguments outside of the State Capitol and, on occasion, is required to set up two courtrooms in two separate locations.
Ally, you embody the essence of an everyday hero for Nebraska's appellate courts. Your calm demeanor, eagerness to shoulder extra responsibilities, and innate teaching abilities align perfectly with the Court's civics education initiative.
