Everyday Heroes: Cheyenne County District Court and Sheriff’s Office Honored

As soon as Judges Derek Weimer and Randin Roland identified the need for a “tech” overhaul in their district and county courtrooms, court staff jumped into action. Cheyenne County District Court Clerk Deb Hume and her staff, Mindy Wiegand and Taz Uhrig joined court security officer Deputy Ron Kissler of the Cheyenne County Sheriff’s Office in an extensive technology redesign.
The end result is the investment of several thousands of dollars in new tech, but vastly more savings in decreased transportation costs and enhanced the security.
