As Presiding Judge for the Separate Juvenile Court in Douglas County during the initial round of Covid-19 last spring, Judge Chad Brown took the lead in coordinating his Court’s response to the pandemic.

From actively organizing meetings on the identification of essential hearings to reviewing statutes and balancing the Constitutional Rights of all involved, Brown called together the stakeholders necessary to create a smooth process. The stability of the original plan has stood the test of time.  Now that the Court is facing another round of limitations, very few changes have been necessary.

Judge Brown, thank you for your strong emphasis on collaboration and your process of bringing together all who need to work together to ensure efficient, accessible, and safe courts for the children and families of Douglas County.
