Genuine thanks to the statewide language access team for true courage and outstanding performance in providing interpretation across Nebraska amid the COVID pandemic. The team's unique gifts and steadfast commitment have enabled limited English proficient court users and probation clients to tell their own stories in their own words. 

Vladimir, Olivia, Gladis, Adrian: (With a nod to Dr. Seuss) You have assigned interpreters to provide language access here and there and anywhere in Nebraska. You have interpreted in a mask, on a phone, by Zoom and WebEx, and Skype. Your questions were never “if we should” or “why we would” assign a court interpreter, but always how to best provide language access in these perilous times. Since March 2020, you have exhibited profound grace and absolute professionalism, stepping up every single day to provide exemplary service, recognizing the dignity of limited English proficient individuals, and giving them true access to justice.
