Everyday Heroes: Omaha Office of the Public Guardian Honored
The Omaha Office of the Public Guardian ensures that vulnerable adults placed in their care thrive by managing issues such as poor cooperation due to impaired judgment, mental illness, or substance use. The office members pool their resources and ideas, matching individuals with services that best suit their particular circumstances, ensuring that individuals can better experience the fullness of life.
While doing intake on new wards, the Omaha administrative office pores over documentation to locate any unclaimed property, often left by a ward’s deceased family, or simply because the ward did not know of the funds. This has allotted our individuals with thousands of dollars; with this needs-gap closed, this helps provide a little extra to individuals with sparse resources.
Many thanks to all of the Administrative Staff in the Omaha OPG office for your ceaseless efforts in providing a better quality of life for your wards!
