Former Seward County Judge Alan Gless Passes Away
Retired Judge Alan G. Gless, Seward, passed away on April 21, 2024, at the age of 74. Gless served as judge of the county court beginning in 1980. He was appointed to the district court in 1995, where he served until 2013.
Gless was known for his interest in publishing his writing, having published numerous articles dealing with matters of law and legal history. his articles include the topics of probation revocation (2007), Civil Case Appellate Standards of Review (an update), and a treatise on Nebraska public records laws for legal practitioners and journalists.
