Guardian/Conservator Changes Effective April 1, 2020
Changes to Supreme Court Rules relating to guardianships and conservatorships go into effect April 1, 2020.

A webinar is now available on the JBE website for court staff who work with guardianships and conservatorships and will be impacted by these changes. The webinar summarizes the rule changes including changes to forms, JUSTICE programing, and staff responsibilities. The webinar can be accessed by logging into the NSC Intranet, clicking the JBE Login button on the Intranet Home Page, and scrolling to the "Recently Created Courses" section and clicking on Guardian & Conservator Changes (In Effect April 1, 2020).

Additional information on guardianships and conservatorships will be provided in a number of ways:
- Information on form changes will be sent in Form Coordinator Christina Werner’s monthly update. The new forms will be uploaded on March 31 to be available April 1.
- JUSTICE updates will be e-mailed and posted on the website this week with programing and coding changes.
- Another webinar is planned for court staff mid-April to provide a forum to discuss the changes.
- The Guardian/Conservator Foundations Class required of all court staff who work with guardian/conservator caseload has been updated with the new rules, resources and responsibilities. It will be available when meeting and travel restrictions are lifted.
