Increased Support Planned for Clerks of District Court Through the Administrative Office
Deputy Administrator for Court Services Amy Prenda announced the creation of a new position in the Administrative Office of the Courts and Probation. The position, Trial Court Services Director for District Courts, will be part of the Court Services Division and will serve as the primary administrative resource for the District Courts and the Clerks of the District Court.
“We appreciate all the work [clerks] do supporting the District Courts and believe we can provide better support by having a professional dedicated to the district courts who can provide direct assistance on district court processes and procedures.” Ms. Prenda said in her announcement.
Trial Court Services Director Sheryl Connolly added, “While I enjoy my work with the district, county and juvenile courts, clerks and staff, it has long been my goal to have a professional in court services to focus on the needs of the district courts. Paula Crouse and Sue Nieto’s knowledge and experience as District Court clerks have been invaluable to JUSTICE and to all of us at the AOCP. We are hopeful to bring such a person into Court Services to support district court procedures manuals, records management, etc. I look forward to working with my new district court counterpart in expanding court services.”
The closing date for the position has been extended. Applications will be accepted through December 3rd. Please consider applying for this position or sharing this with someone on your staff.
