The Nebraska Judicial Branch is committed to providing access to justice to everyone, regardless of the language they speak. To ensure that all individuals receive a fair and equal opportunity to explain their case and participate in court, the Nebraska Supreme Court created the Court Interpreter Training and Certification Program. Becoming a certified court interpreter is a three-pronged process which includes successfully completing the Nebraska Court Interpreter Orientation, the written exam and the oral exam. Individuals who have completed the prerequisite Nebraska Court Interpreter Orientation may take the written exam to be held in November. Both a completed Registration form and Authorization to Conduct Criminal Background Check and Investigation must be received by October 31, 2022, to sit for the written exam.
