Judicial Branch Hosts Successful Station at UNL Field Day

As an experienced facilitator, Nebraska Judicial Branch Deputy of Operations Gene Cotter led groups of UNL students through a reflective dialogue exercise at the UNL Criminal Justice Field Day on Monday, April 1, 2024. Hosted by the Criminal Justice Student Association (CJSA), the event featured a variety of activities aimed at providing students with practical insights into potential career options.

Gene Cotter's session on reflective dialogue encouraged students to consider the complexities within the field. By fostering critical thinking, Cotter helped participants delve deeper into the realities of working within the criminal justice system.

The CJSA-organized field day brought together criminal justice agencies, offering students the chance to engage in hands-on experiences and interact with equipment used in the field. The event served as a valuable learning opportunity for attendees to explore the diverse aspects of the criminal justice system.
